I searched TripAdvisor for reviews by drivers in Luxor and found Mahmoud +20 1006730104. For reasonable prices, we did the east bank and west bank in two days. Everything went very well, Mahmoud is punctual, respectful and gives very good recommendations, his car is clean and with AC.

I already had my itinerary organized, but I took into account their advice mainly in order to make the visits. He also has a great network of contacts, so he quickly helps organize felucca rides, hot air ballooning or just lunch.

I have to do a lot of touring or wear out in haggling with taxi drivers. Here it was at my own pace, without rushing and without unnecessary stops in souvenir shops.

We arrived in Luxor very late because the plane was delayed. It was our second visit to Luxor. We met Hassan at the airport.
And because he was very communicative we made an appointment with him for the next day. We traveled with him for three days. He was very well organized, always punctual, and very helpful. He cares about us. Hassan is trustworthy we left cash in the taxi which he returned to us. Next time we left an iPhone which was also returned to us.
I can recommend Hassan with all my heart. I’m glad that I met him, he showed us the true face of the Egyptian people. Now I can call him a friend.

"We decided to organize a last-minute trip to Egypt, and since we didn't plan anything in advance, we started searching all over the internet and social media for any information that could help us organize it. We weren't very keen on going with a bunch of people, as often happens with organized tours or Nile cruises, so we kept looking for more personalized and private options that could cater to our preferences.

Literally three days before landing in Luxor, we randomly came across this TripAdvisor thread. After carefully reading the reviews, there was this man, "Mahmoud Luxor," who really caught our attention, as all his reviews were incredibly good. We contacted him via WhatsApp (he was very responsive), explained what we had in mind, organized more or less what we would do each day, and agreed on the price upfront. He told us that he would be waiting for us at the airport… and indeed, there he was, punctually. The rest was an authentic dream.

We spent six days driving around between Luxor and Aswan (including Abydos, Dendera, and Abu Simbel), visiting and enjoying Egypt in ways we wouldn't have expected. He took care of us like family. He took us to local places and restaurants, brought us local treats and refreshments during our day trips, and was always giving us suggestions, recommendations, and tips. He even organized the hot air balloon experience and a private boat ride through the Nile to get to the Nubian village for us. He was always on time, with a smile on his face and his modern, comfortable car shining. He gave us all the time we wanted to visit the temples and was always waiting for us without rushing us. On top of all this, he was super friendly and spoke English perfectly fine, we had really good conversations.

We usually don't write reviews, but this experience was exceptional and exceeded our expectations so much that we felt it was worth sharing.

"We used a young man named Hassan +20 100 3057798. I contacted him on recommendation of someone on TA? He was the loveliest young man and between all my WhatsApp conversations before we got there and my travel with him, he became like a son to me. (I tend to ask a LOT of questions beforehand! He was patient and so kind.) And when I finally got to meet him it was like meeting family or a very good friend.

Hassan was very reliable, always showed up on time and was always waiting for us when we finished our tours or meals or wherever he had taken us. His prices were excellent and when we wanted a guide as well as a driver, he provided us with two excellent ones. His car was nice and had good AC.

We are seasoned travelers and I realize we approached this a bit backward, getting drivers first and having them get us guides but this definitely worked for us. Hassan was also able to refer us to a driver for the Aswan part of our trip. Review for him on a separate post."

Hi all, I would like to add Hasan's details here.
We went to Luxor and then Hurghada in Feb of this year.
We used his services throughout our trip which included a full day to the West Bank of Luxor and also trips from Luxor to Hurghada and back.

We had booked a trip with Hasan Ahmed, very reliable. We met him at the airport and got a taxi to our hotel. During the drive he told us about the tours he could also arrange for us.

We went to the Valley of kings, and more places in the west bank. We had all the time we wanted/needed, no pressure to be back at a certain time.

Second day we did the east bank with him, and the third day he brought us to Hurghada.

Decent prices, cheaper as most others.
